The 2nd inning was one to forget for the Menovar Redtails during the 4-2 loss, as the Aces scored all 4 of their runs during the inning. Though the Redtails did attempt to make a bit of a comeback later, their rally in the 8th inning was shut down by Miles Edgeworth coming in for a worn out Mikotoba Susato. Mikotoba was a force to be reckoned with on the mound, pitching nearly 8 full innings and striking out 11, including striking out the side in the 3rd inning, and not giving up a baserunner until Alamar Vaske's solo home run in the 5th inning. Madeline Stockholtz may need to check her confidence before going out to the mound next time she pitches, as the self-proclaimed "best pitcher on the team" was rung up for all 4 of the Aces runs thanks to a pair of home runs by the surprise powerhouses of the Shinagawa Aces, Maya Fey and Trucy Wright. Liam Stockholtz, her brother, proved much more effective, only giving up a single hit and striking out 4 in 4 innings of work.
