28 hits, 6 errors, 26 left on base, and neither side could win it. The rain-soaked Blood Gulch made sure that no one could emerge a winner in the contest between the Chaos Emeralds and the Blood Gulch CobraHawks this round, as the explosive first 6 innings of the game gave way to 6 more scoreless innings to keep the score tied 7-7 when the scoreboard ran out of space.

For the Chaos Emeralds, the offense showed plenty of promise, as the game started with 6 straight runners scoring 4 runs off of 4 hits and 2 hit batters. Later in the 4th inning, the bases were loaded for Vector, who hit a 2-out double that drove in 3 runs to bring their side of the scoreboard to 7.

The Chaos Emeralds were certainly not flawless, and the CobraHawks took advantage of any opportunity they could. Thanks to a pair of errors each by Sonic and Amy, the CobraHawks were able to score 7 runs of their own during the 3rd, 4th, and 6th innings. The odd combination of happenstance meant that despite the team giving up 7 runs, the pitchers for the Emeralds were credited with 0 Earned Runs during the game.

The breakdown was like so: First, in the 3rd inning, the bases were loaded before an error by Sonic allowed all 3 runners to score and North Dakota to reach 2nd safely, making all 3 runs unearned. Then, in the 4th inning, Leonard Church was able to reach 1st on a throwing error by Amy. He would later score on a single by Michael J. Caboose, making his run unearned. Carolina would then reach 1st safely on a Fielder's choice that would have been the 3rd out without Amy's error, meaning her RBI was unearned as well. Finally, in the 6th inning, both an error by Sonic allowing Sarge to score from 1st base and an error by Amy allowing Dexter Grif to score from 2nd made both of those runs unearned.

The humor in the situation was not lost on either team, as they exchanged a few laughs and high-fives after the game was over. Though the two teams are certainly still a bit sore having not won a game yet, there is still some fun to be had on the field this season.
