Leif Claus jumped from zero to hero in a matter of one game, hitting an early grand slam that the Octopath Travelers could not match in runs throughout the entire game. Having gone 0-for-4 with 2 strikeouts in the first game for the Fire Emblems, Claus's 3-for-4 effort with 4 RBI thanks to the grand slam has dramatically changed his outlook for the season. Anna Feh was not going to be left out, hitting an RBI triple in her own 2-for-4 effort. Along with Sigurd Chalphy and Marth Lowell going 3-for-5 each during the game, the Fire Emblems were not left wanting for offensive production. The Travelers had a similarly productive game, just with their hits more spread out than the Emblems. Despite 11 hits and 2 batters reaching base on errors, the Octopath Travelers were only able to muster 3 total runs while leaving 9 runners on base. The struggles for the Travelers can be chalked up to an impressive performance by Emblems pitcher Clanne Steward, whose 6 inning relief performance was better than a majority of OBL starters have had this season. Clanne Steward only allowed 2 baserunners in just 1 of those innings, and that was due to an error allowing the second baserunner.
