The Baron Red Wings pushed their luck a little too hard, as they gave up 2 runs in the 11th inning to lose 3-1 against the Belmont Curse. The Red Wings had gotten lucky in the 3rd inning after giving up a pair of doubles to the Curse by drawing 3 walks in a row to tie the game 1-1. The score stayed that way throughout the next 7 innings thanks to solid fundamental fielding by both teams. Unfortunately, the Red Wings's decision to keep Relm Arrowny out to continue pitching allowed 2 baserunners to reach base before she was finally replaced by Krile Baldesion, who was unable to keep the now rallying Belmonts at bay, allowing those 2 runners to score. The Red Wings then were unable to get anything going in the bottom half of the inning against a fresh Mina Hakuba. Maria Renard looks to be a stand-out performer for the Belmont Curse, going 3-for-5 in this game with an RBI. After struggling the entirety of Season 2 for the Curse, she looks poised to make a strong return this season.
