The Balamb Guardians made an offensive statement against the UA Heroes, scoring 9 runs on 20 hits while only allowing 5 hits to the Heroes. Cloud Strife had easily the best game of the season so far, going 4-for-6 with 4 RBIs and a homerun. Selphie Tilmitt contributed plenty herself, going a perfect 4-for-4 and a walk, though she did not earn an RBI for her efforts. Most of the RBIs produced thanks to Selphie's perfect day fell instead to Freya Crescent, who earned 3 RBIs off of a 3-for-4 day alongside a sacrifice fly. Laguna Loire was fantastic on his first pitching outing of the season, earning more strikeouts than hits, and only allowing a total of 6 baserunners. The Guardians defense did help in that regard, with the team turning 2 double plays and Freya Crescent snagging what looked like a sure double off the bat of Bakugo Katsuki in the 4th inning. Needless to say, the UA Heroes really need to look internally for a solution for their struggles. Both Bakugo and Midoriya have yet to record a hit this season, and the team recording a measly 8 hits across a total of 60 at bats so far.
